14th Annual Cut-a-Thon at Rock Paper Scissor

Rock Paper Scissor Salonspa holds its

14th Annual Cut-a-Thon to benefit the Interfaith Community Shelter at Pete’s Place

 

[Santa Fe, New Mexico] (June 7, 2016) –This Saturday, June 11th from 10 AM to 3 PM the talented team at Rock Paper Scissor Salonspa will continue their tradition of offering haircuts by top stylists to raise funds for a local non-profit. This year, the Interfaith Community Shelter at Pete’s Place will be the beneficiary of the event.

 

Over 10 stylists led by salon owner, Melodi Wyss, will volunteer their time offering haircuts to raise money in support of the 9-year-old Santa Fe shelter. The shelter recently expanded their season to create a Summer Safe Haven for homeless women and their children in the Santa Fe area.

 

Walk-in cuts are $25 and VIP reservations are $50. Cash or check preferred made directly to The Interfaith Community Shelter.

 

Rock Paper Scissor recently moved to the De Vargas Center after 4 years at the Sanbusco Center. About the Interfaith Community Shelter

Located on Cerrillos Road at Pete’s Place, last year ICS provided overnight housing to over 1000 men, women and children, served 54,000 meals and distributed 37,000 items of clothing. Pete’s Place is a “One-Stop-Shop” for community services, assisting people into permanent housing through collaboration with partners such as the Veteran’s Administration; Health Care for the Homeless; Life Link, Santa Fe Community Services; St. Elizabeth; Southwest Care; Workforce Solutions; Goodwill Industries; Food Depot; Street Homeless Animal Project; Santo Domingo Traditional Support Worker; Youth Shelters; Safe Link; Legal Clinic; and Homeless Court. Over 2000 community members volunteer at the shelter every year.
